Enigmatic Society

Description

"Enigmatic Society" is the new album by the group Dinner Party, made up of Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington and 9th Wonder. With complex instrumentation and an ultra-elegant R&B / neo-soul sound, Enigmatic Society is hypnotic from start to finish. The album features brilliant performances from the original Dinner Party lineup: Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington and 9th Wonder, with help from collaborating artists including Phoelix, Arin Ray, Ant Clemons, Tank and producers Sounwave, Hi-Tek and Trevor Lawrence Jr. Enigmatic Society follows the group’s self-titled debut album released in 2020 and continues to celebrate joy, life, art and Black Culture, paying tribute to the duality found in both the beauty and adversity of Black America. This deep sense of community and family runs throughout the project, with the album cover designed by Amasi Washington, Kamasi Washington’s sister.
