The black metal band DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT has always pushed the boundaries of the genre from which it emerged.
With the release of their fifth album, ‘Noktvrn,’ the Germans seek to broaden the minds and perspectives of their ever-growing fanbase, just as they themselves have transcended with each step of the new album's creation. The title ‘Noktvrn’ is based on the Nocturnes of classical composer Frédéric Chopin and embraces all aspects of the night: darkness, dreams, the mind’s wanderings between waking and sleeping, and, of course, the arrival of a new day.
