Domino

Description

An album marked by urgency and freedom, following the 2011 release “Ivres et Débutants”. The band reconnects with the energy and urgency of its beginnings while retaining the musicality of its previous record. Recorded in Paris by Arnaud BASCUÑANA, already the producer of their first album “Parmi Eux”, the band delivers its most accomplished album yet and continues to embody and (re)define the history of French-language rock over the past ten years. The three boys, still ‘obsessed with the breeze’, seem determined to seek out a new freshness with every album and, with “Domino”, demonstrate an astonishing ability to reinvent themselves, in the sound, the arrangements and the lyrics. In these endlessly dull times, the 10 new songs on “Domino” evoke a joyful shipwreck, full of fighting spirit and poetry. DEPORTIVO’s music truly comes into its own live, through incandescent concerts that the band’s fans like to describe as a « joyful mess », in which the audience and the musicians form one single entity. After listening to “Domino”, we can’t wait to see them play these tracks on stage.
