Description

The creative paths of Denis Levaillant's keyboard, between baroque and jazz!The performer as composer. This recording is the organic sequel, the second volume of my BLUE SONGS released in 2021. The principle is the same: initially, a few chords converge, one after another forming a path, a "grid". The motifs emerge from the harmony, call to each other, merge into the path, which could become a song: I write my personal "Real Book", often for the pleasure of modulation, of color, of harmonic surprise. Then, there is the playing: my hands roam the keyboard, time is not measured, the sound envelops me, the singing comes effortlessly. Here, the music is invented and recorded on the spot.
