Sisters of Romanian origin Sarah and Deborah Nemtanu form a true dynasty of violin players. Sarah has been the conductor of the Orchestre National de France since 2001 and Deborah leads the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris. They began studying the violin with their father Vladimir, who conducted the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine. The two women recorded the critically acclaimed Double Concerto by Bach in 2015. In this new album, all the tracks are based on the folk music of many Eastern European countries. The harmonic and rhythmic freedom demanded by the music is second nature to them.
