When the unique band PSYCHOTIC WALTZ disbanded in 1997, there was a void that could only be filled by the creation of DEADSOUL TRIBE in 2001. Singer, flutist and frontman Devon Graves, also known as Buddy Lackey, had meanwhile settled in Vienna because of a relationship, where he found the right musicians for DEADSOUL TRIBE. On the first album " Deadsoul Tribe ", Davon Graves still plays a few instruments himself, but the band already consists of four members. Even if the style differs from that of PSYCHOTIC WALTZ in some respects, the target audience is automatically defined. And even a little broader, because alongside metal and prog, influences from Tool can also be heard. The very organically sounding album received very good reviews and was easily accepted by fans. The band then played at the Prog Power Europe Festival in the Netherlands. It is surprising that DEADSOUL TRIBE albums have not yet been released on vinyl, especially since the PSYCHOTIC WALTZ catalog was reissued in 2024 (Inside Out/Sony Music). Golden Core is filling this gap with the first two albums, mastered for vinyl of course and accompanied by a printed insert. The LPs are limited to 300 copies, which will certainly sell out quickly.
