"Not much is known about the artist known as De Frank Kakra—even less about his birth name or precisely where he came from. A few scattered liner notes on his records offer a glimpse into his career as a backing vocalist and percussionist in Ghana's 1970s highlife scene, notably with Vis-A-Vis, K. Frimpong’s band (Cubano Fiestas). He was also a percussionist on the Ghanaian highlife scene in the 1970s. As the originator of several bands, including The Professionals and The Diggit Ways, alongside Sammy Copper, recording across West Africa, RastaPastaRecords has unearthed his little-known albums to create a 3xLP compilation.
