Lighthouse

Description

At an age when many artists slow down, David Crosby, on the contrary, speeds up. In an unprecedented career spanning six decades, as a solo artist, but also as a founding member of the legendary Byrds, Crosby, Stills and Nash and, of course, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Crosby has collaborated with dozens of artists, including Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, David Gilmour (ex-Pink Floyd), Phil Collins, Elton John and Carole King. His impressive influence, like his astonishing ability to capture the spirit of our time in his music, remains intact. When Crosby released Croz in 2014, two decades had passed since his previous solo record. But today, it is only two years after Croz - a robust work at the head of a full band - and our septuagenarian is back with Lighthouse, a stripped-down, intimate album that showcases not only that unmistakable voice, but also Crosby's incisive songwriting and his incomparable guitar playing.
