Adhd EP

Description

Right after his mixtape I Don't Freak Out, released last January, English producer DARQ E FREAKER is back with ADHD, an instrumental EP set to be released on Big Dada. He first came to attention alongside Danny Brown on the well-known track Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine), but also on productions by Tempa T, London Grammar, D Double E. So you have very likely already heard FREAKER. We know that the Englishman has a certain attraction to contemporary hip-hop and grime, and his collaborations are proof of that. For ADHD, he explains that he tried to fuse rave music with instrumental grime/hip-hop, drops, basslines and drum patterns. This project is close to his heart because it reminds him of his childhood, notably 2C-I, which perfectly illustrates the mix between these different genres and the nods to his youth: frantic synth sounds, hyperactive percussion, 80s video game sounds, bell and whistle noises.. But each track is intense and hedonistic; one thing is certain, it’s not bedtime...
