Daniel Romano is an artist, poet, musician and performer based in Ontario. A brilliant multi-instrumentalist who defies all musical experimentation, Romano knows how to make the languages of melody, form, lyrical construction and sonic arrangements speak like no one else. Relevant, the album ModernPressure will very certainly prove to be Romano's most exploratory album to date. The twelve tracks pick up where the acclaimed 2016 album Mosey left off. With an outsider's perspective, Daniel Romano addresses serious subjects that are current. He wishes to communicate a message of empathy and solidarity.The recording phase of Modern Pressure took place in a small studio in the isolated town of Finnsas in Sweden during August 2016 (with strings and brass added at Baldwin Street Sound in Toronto in October 2016).
