Lux aeterna
Description
Ligeti and Heppener both come from that generation of the 1920s on which the post-war musical avant-garde was based. Lux Aeterna, used by Stanley Kubrick in his film "2001: A Space Odyssey," illustrated the establishment of a new musical language. Later, the "Sonata for Solo Viola" evokes both the polyphony of the 14th century and certain ethnic music. Im Gestein, a cycle of lieder based on poems by Paul Celan that earned Heppener the Matthijs Vermeulenen Prize in 1993, is recorded here for the first time.Buy Lux aeterna at the best price
