A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms: Season 1 (Soundtrack From The Hbo Original Series)

Description

Mutant, in partnership with WaterTower Music and HBO, is proud to present the very first physical edition of Dan Romer’s soundtrack for the first season of A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms (Emmy Awards® nominee). The music composed by Dan Romer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is unquestionably among the year’s finest. This soundtrack is intimate, beautiful, and charged with an emotion rarely matched in recent television productions. Strongly influenced by Ennio Morricone’s compositions for the best spaghetti westerns as well as by the medieval folk music that inspires the series, Romer swaps the grand orchestrations of Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon for a more stripped-down soundscape (but just as spectacular), showcasing acoustic guitars, traditional violins, and plenty of whistling. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms thus stands as a musical entity in its own right. Romer also brilliantly incorporates Ramin Djawadi’s iconic Game of Thrones theme at a key moment, with a striking result. This vinyl edition is presented in a gatefold sleeve wrapped in a printed interactive PET outer sleeve, and includes eight beautiful portraits of the main characters illustrated by Greg Ruth. Exclusive retail edition on green vinyl.
