The Death We Seek

Description

Currents’ second full-length album, The Way It Ends (2020), allowed the band to reach their widest audience to date. With this 3rd release, Currents succeeds in asserting its sonic imprint, now easily recognizable, while exploring new facets. An album that will propel Currents into the highest ranks of metalcore in the years to come. Leveling everything in their path with crushing intensity and raw emotional confession, Currents has set new standards for dissonance, dissatisfaction, and existential dread, with unstoppable fury. The band plays a stunning blend of metallic hardcore, aggressive melody, and electronic texture. Currents is not afraid to look inward, severely examining the causes of failure, heartbreak, and its responsibility to the world. Intoxicating and fierce, The Death We Seek is both the most powerful and the most vulnerable Currents album. Songs like "Unfamiliar", "Vengeance", "Remember Me" and "So Alone" are unwavering explorations of rough emotional terrain. CURRENTS are uncompromisingly heavy and as raw as an exposed nerve.
