Description

Scottish composer Craig Armstrong presents Pacific, a three-movement work for piano, cello, and electronics, released on his label CMA Records. Commissioned in December 2024 for the innovative concert series Berlin Confidential, it premiered in March 2025 at the Meistersaal in Berlin with cellist Lena Angelina von Almen and musician Guy Sternberg, blending acoustic instruments and live electro-acoustic treatments for an immersive sound universe. Recorded in May 2025 at the Lowswing studios in Kreuzberg, Pacific extends Armstrong's research on the harmonious fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds. Staying true to his vision of music as a vehicle for empathy, he donates the album's profits to Médecins Sans Frontières and the Red Cross. The limited vinyl edition, pressed on Eco Vinyl, features artwork by Dirk Rudolph.
