Principle of Evil Made Flesh was well received and in 2006, it found a place in Metal Hammer's list of the top ten black metal albums of the last twenty years. At the Dynamo Festival in 1997, they chose three classic songs from their debut album: "The Forest Whispers My Name," "The Black Goddess Rises," and "To Eve the Art of Witchcraft." Dusk... and Her Embrace followed in 1996, a critically acclaimed album that expanded the band's fan base across Europe and the rest of the world. Cradle of Filth's new album sets the tone for what’s to come. The album's production values matched the band's potential, and Dani's vocal gymnastics were at their peak.
