Ensemble de Flûtes, the Consort Brouillamini proposes refined transcriptions of Bach by placing the flutes at the center of the sound space. The practice of playing in consort has its origins in the Renaissance, where instruments were grouped by family (viols, lutes, violins, or even recorders) and varied in different sizes (sopranos, altos, tenors, basses). Bach's music is an inexhaustible source of musical material for making transcriptions. The choice of the Brouillamini ensemble focused on pieces where our instruments, the flutes, allowed us to render all the contours without straying too far from the original text, the beauty of which sparked our interest.
