Here is one of the brightest talents of the British blues scene. Connor Selby has indeed been voted "Young Artist of the Year" at the UK Blues Awards for the last three years (2020, 2021, 2022)!
As a teenager, he devoured the music of Eric Clapton and Ray Charles - "Ray completely transformed me as a person but also changed the way I think about music." He was nurtured by the old Delta blues and the soul of Stax as well as by more contemporary artists like Norah Jones.
His music undeniably possesses a timeless melancholic quality that delivers a rare elegance: a refined blend of soul and blues, emotionally introspective writing, an impressive arsenal of guitar playing. The songs of 'Connor Selby' are true little vignettes of the different styles of music that inspire him. We certainly have with this artist one of the great names of tomorrow's Blues.
