Douce Folie is the 2nd album by the band Comme John, made up of two sisters, Claire and Gaëlle Salvat. With a sixties vibe and a sugary pop style, their first album "Illusion" paved the way for a liberated writing style, highlighted here by a flurry of piano, cheerful machines, and playful guitars. Love is everywhere you look, fleeting or serious, a light breath, a faint whisper at the heart of our lives. Comme John writes stories of today, a true poetry of everyday life, joyful or more serious tales, when the depth of feelings emerges beneath the apparent lightness of a song to whistle here and there. The polished (and careful) pop of a Grande Sophie or a Vincent Delerm, the benevolent shadow of all the radiant muses of the Nouvelle Vague, the sixties, and the great Barbara, a guiding figure never too far away, along with the sensual and danceable flexibility of the 80s, can be found throughout all the tracks of this new album.
