Deux mezzos sinon rien

Description

Karine Deshayes and Delphine Haidan formed the duo "Deux mezzos sinon rien" about fifteen years ago during a concert. The success was immediate. Two common vocal ranges, mezzo-soprano, yet two different colors that blend perfectly. Their repertoire combines opera, melody, and lied. They have favored equal-voiced duets with piano: Mendelssohn and Brahms for German romanticism, Berlioz, Gounod, Saint-Saëns, Massenet, Fauré, and Chausson for the French repertoire. These works require musicality, diction, a sense of text, and mutual listening. They are accompanied by Johan Farjot, their preferred pianist.
