Much More Than Music Volume 2

We launched the “Much More Than Music” project more than ten years ago now. At first, we simply wanted to release a “Best Of,” but the idea ultimately seemed a little too classic to us. We then imagined re-recording some of our songs with vocals in English, mainly for our non-French-speaking audience. Very quickly, we had to face the facts: our “British” accents were frankly disastrous and the result was not convincing. That’s when a slightly crazy idea came to us: why not ask those who had shaped our adolescence, our childhood heroes, to perform our songs? At that time, we were on a mini-tour with UK SUBS and TV Smith. So we suggested to Charlie Harper and TV Smith that they take part in the project. Their response was immediately positive. For us, that was already incredible, and it gave us the desire to go even further. Right away, we contacted other artists we had been lucky enough to meet over the years. That’s how Beki Bondage (VICE SQUAD), Colin Abrahall (GBH), Greg McCowan (THE OUTCASTS), Micky Fitz (THE BUSINESS), Arturo Bassick (THE LURKERS), Roger Miret (AGNOSTIC FRONT), Matt Dangerfield (THE BOYS) and even Campino (DIE TOTEN HOSEN) agreed to lend their voices to our songs.
