This project written and carried by the pianist Claude Terranova is a diametrically opposed echo to his previous discographic achievements.
This tightrope walker of improvisation, of real-time creation is also a renowned composer, who, back on the field of writing, reshapes, with the complicity of two great musicians from the world of jazz, the art of the trio.
NOVATrio explodes the classic roles of the 3 instruments of the trio. It is not just a trio. It is a group, with a group sound, a group energy that generates music that is both subtle and muscular with accents sometimes jazz, but mostly pop, blues, or world music.
All the pieces that make up this project are written. The part left to improvisation, even if it exists, is not the main component.
