Les œuvres pour flûte

Description

Messiaen, from the brilliance of Varèse to the serial revolution, from Pierre Schaeffer's studio to the exploration of micro-intervals, Ballif forges his freedom. At the heart of the excitement of the 1950s, he creates his language, Metatonality, a fiery alloy between the "raw and the cooked," a fertile synthesis. In a generous half-century of creation and around a hundred works, the path traveled and cultivated with perseverance by Claude Ballif gives rise to new fields of consciousness and dreams. Claude Ballif passed away in July 2004.
