Concerto pour trompette - concerto pour piano & vents "homages"...

Description

Edward Gregson (born in 1945) is an internationally renowned composer whose works have been performed, broadcast, and commercially recorded worldwide. He studied composition (with Alan Bush) and piano at the Royal Academy of Music in London from 1966 to 1967, and won five composition prizes. Since then, he has worked exclusively on commission and has written pieces for orchestra, chamber music, choral and instrumental works, as well as for theater, film, and television. His fascination with the dramatic potential of the concertante form has led him to compose works influenced by Mozart, Alban Berg, Rachmaninov, and Bartok. A brilliant music performed with excellence by exceptional soloists.
