The third installment of the Italian Library Songbook series unveils a rare unreleased track from Italian library music legend Giuliano Sorgini: "Awakening (Part I)," an instrumental accompanied on guitar by his long-time friend and collaborator Alessandro Alessandroni. In this special series by Four Flies, visionary contemporary producers and artists reinterpret the works of the great masters of Italian cinema and library music, creating fresh and groovy vocal tracks. This time, Florentine producer Clap! Clap! (Cristiano Crisci) and Japanese rapper COMA-CHI revisit Sorgini’s track for a modern audience. Crisci, a fan of Italian soundtracks since his teenage years, sampled "Awakening" to compose "Right Track," a boom bap track on which COMA-CHI lays down her lyrics with ease and passion. The producer describes this collaboration as a dream come true, blending respect for the original work with contemporary energy. Recorded in 1974 for a nature documentary, "Awakening (Part I)" is finally officially released more than 50 years later, on the B-side of the 7-inch single. The instrumental perfectly reflects Sorgini's iconic dark-funk style, with his synths, percussion, and Alessandroni's 12-string acoustic guitar in a minimalist and powerful composition. Italian Library Songbook, Vol. 3 will be released on 7" vinyl and digitally on September 26, 2025, accompanied by a 12" EP in the Reloved series where Clap! Clap! reinvents other treasures from the Four Flies catalog.
