Chuck's first album in 4 years is inspired by the cumbia bands he saw in the clubs of San Francisco in the aftermath of the pandemic, while he was undergoing cancer treatment. Music was a source of joy during a dark time. He began playing with ¿Qiensave?, a cumbia band based in Salinas, California. The result is 11 new songs from Chuck Prophet wrapped in a cumbia shell.
