As for BILL ORCUTT, whose style is often compared to American primitivism (JOHN FAHEY, ROBBIE BASHO, LEO KOTTKE) while also incorporating timbral colors from no wave, punk hardcore or European improvisation, he performed with HARRY PUSSY, his very first band, opening for SONIC YOUTH or SEBADOH in the 90s. Listening to this album, whose title refers to a poem by WALLACE STEVENS, makes you want to immerse yourself in every note, so capable are the sounds of transporting us to a luminous beyond.
