Achille (Chiloo is his childhood nickname, revised and corrected in an Anglo-Saxon way) was born and raised in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, benefiting from a family exposure to the songs of Stevie Wonder, Jacques Brel, Serge Lama, and even Juliette Armanet from a young age. Slightly resistant to the constraints of the school system, he survives by discovering a passion for French rap, and remembers the day he picked up a pen to write a text as an epiphany. Sexion d’Assaut serves as a revelation, as it does for many middle schoolers of that time. As a somewhat tortured teenager, haunted by the doubts and questions of his age, he finds in writing over beats a psychological support that quickly transforms into personal structure. In fact, his grades improve in high school, and he feels better expressing his emotions. The project then becomes a marker of his generation: on Instagram, a talent show format allows users to post freestyles, borrowing beats from a freely accessible bank. Thousands participate, but Chiloo quickly excels in this exercise, as demonstrated by the tens of thousands of followers who eagerly repost his rhythmic outbursts. Chiloo participates in these freestyle competitions and works alone during the first months, picking beats from YouTube. This gains him visibility. While doing an internship at Booba's radio station, Oklm, during his sophomore year, he meets the person who will become his manager and producer, Sélim Bousbaine, founder of the label Wouldi Production. They soon secure a license with Tôt ou Tard, which makes sense since this independent label is known for its fight for song. One of the songs that Chiloo posts on social media makes particular sense, as “L au pluriel,” a text that denounces femicides and harassment, stands out from the rather macho ordinary of the rap universe.
