Behind Childish Gambino is Donald Glover, the performer, composer, author, artist, and director. Originally from Stone Mountain in the state of Georgia in the southern United States, Glover began in the spotlight as a member of the comedy group Derrick Comedy. At the same time, he released mixtapes and EPs and played numerous roles in productions ranging from The Muppets to the cult series "Community." It was his debut album "Camp," released in 2011, that marked the major debut of Childish Gambino, whose music explores vast subjects such as identity, technology, hip hop culture, education, and family. The following album, "Because The Internet," reached the Billboard top 10 and was nominated for two Grammy Awards. Childish Gambino is now returning with his third album, "Awaken, My Love!", which will be released on December 2nd via Glassnote. An album with rich and unexpected influences, which once again provides us with proof of the extent of his artistic palette.
