The unforgettable Chet Baker Sings propelled Chet Baker to the forefront not only as a brilliant trumpeter but also as a talented singer. This album was a revelation at the time and earned Baker new fame and a new audience, less familiar with jazz than with pop music. The album was originally released in 1954 as a 10-inch Long Play containing eight songs. Its success quickly led to its reissue on 12-inch LP, with the addition of material from later sessions in 1956. This edition features all the songs from the 12-inch LP as well as several other vocal tracks from the same period.
