The noise rock band Chat Pile signs with Who Loves The Sun their third album, presented as a deeply raw and organic work in a musical landscape saturated with disposable content. The record evokes images of submerged cities, alienating work, and life dominated by data logics and inauthenticity. Oklahoma City appears as a central presence, symbolizing isolation and economic contradictions. The cover illustrates this tension with a contrast between an empty glass skyscraper and crumbling buildings. Musically, the band maintains its abrasive intensity while integrating more melodic structures inspired by 1990s indie rock and new wave. The whole remains violent and confrontational, but gains in hooks and sonic diversity.
