Fables, the new album by Charlotte Reinhardt, reveals a dreamlike and enigmatic universe. Coming from the family of the legendary Django Reinhardt, each track tells a story, from the single Obermann to the enchanting El Laberinto by Angel. Inspired by nature, the mountains, and Spain, Charlotte blends piano, ethereal layers, and subtle percussion to invite a journey through captivating sound narratives.
Charlotte Reinhardt (from the family of Django) is a pianist, singer, composer, and producer who splits her life between France and the Spanish mountains of Cantabria. Her gypsy mother, her English father, her studies at the Conservatoire National de Paris, and her career in jazz have allowed the emergence of a rich and explosive musical universe. Charlotte has oscillated between jazz and classical music since her earliest childhood. She entered the conservatory at the age of 13 and took classical piano and chamber music lessons. After her studies, she pursued a career as a classical soloist and accompanist in very varied styles (opera, pop music, theater). Nourished by this eclecticism, she focuses on writing and composing her own songs, her career progressing through performances across Europe and North America. She also composes several film scores. After a notable album of songs, Charlotte Reinhardt is now refocusing on a search for musical purity, concerned with a personal aesthetic that blends her classical music roots with modern sounds and ingredients. In 2021, her film scores were selected for the Césars. In 2022, "Colors" was released, the result of improvisations around the piano conceived as intimate journeys, poems, introspections, contemplations, music for imaginary films.
