Posthumous album by Charlie Haden, marking the final stage of the highly fruitful collaboration between the American double bassist and the prodigious pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba, which began in 1986 when they first met in Cuba. Recorded during a series of concerts given at the Blue Note club in Tokyo in the spring of 2005, this live album captures all the complicity, intimacy, and intensity of their artistic relationship. 10 years later, Impulse! is pleased to release this unique recording, a tribute to the greatness and grace of this inimitable musician who passed away in July 2014.
