Charlie Daniels was an American multi-instrumentalist, actor, lyricist, and singer, recognized for his contribution to country music, bluegrass, and Southern rock. He is best known for his number one country hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". Daniels died in 2020 at the age of 83. Active as a singer and musician since the 1950s, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016. His memoir, "Never Look At The Empty Seats", was published in October 2017, and the following year, he released an album with a new group, Beau Weevils, with Charlie Hayward, the bassist of the Charlie Daniels Band. A collection of quotes and inspiring stories, "Let's All Make The Day Count: The Everyday Wisdom of Charlie Daniels", followed. This compilation gathers all the group's singles released on Epic over the years.
