After the hyperpop tidal wave of 2024 and the global cultural impact of "BRAT," Charli xcx is now taking on a whole new challenge: rock. With her upcoming album, "Music, Fashion, Film," the British pop icon is once again shaking up musical codes through a conceptual and bold project, recorded in Paris at the studio on rue Boyer. To kick off this new era, the artist first released the quirky track "Rock Music," distributed exclusively on 45 RPM records in two Parisian record stores.
She then followed up with "SS26," an enchanting single whose music video, directed by Torso, featured a hellish fashion show alongside figures from the Parisian fashion scene (Carine Roitfeld, Loïc Prigent), accompanied by the unreleased track "Playboy Bunny" on the B-side. This sets the stage for an electric and irreverent record, shaped in the French capital and destined to leave a lasting impression.
