Not to be confused with the infamous Town Hall Show of 1962, THIS is the acclaimed classic featuring Mingus's best band and undoubtedly the finest performance of Eric Dolphy's career. With the full cooperation of Jazz Workshop — the label that Mingus launched and that continues to protect and enrich his legacy — Town Hall Concert is back in production, sounding better than ever thanks to meticulous restoration work and a brand new master created by Michael Graves, a multiple Grammy Award winner. The artwork has also been carefully restored to match the package designed by Mingus's son, with the original liner notes and poetry by Mingus himself.
