It only took two years for Dunham Records (Daptone Records' internal label) to establish itself as a major force in the new soul scene. He traveled across the United States from Maine to Alaska, stringing together odd jobs, singing and performing in his free time for several decades. It wasn't until recently returning to Brooklyn that he found his new "musical home." His vocal timbre is distinguished by its rough and sincere quality, that of a great bluesman.
