The latest album by César "Pupy" PEDROSO (former pianist and co-founder of los VAN VAN) is finally breaking out of the underground circuit thanks to the German label Termidor. Titled "Pupy el Buena Gente," it features 9 amazing tracks... It also includes songs written and performed during the era of LOS VAN VAN: "El buenagente" and "Disco azucar," masterfully reorchestrated... The voice of José "Pepito" Gomez (among others) is exceptional, and the tracks "Dicen que dicen," "Los tres gordos," and "Ay Lola" are already hits on our dance floors... This blend of rumba and son, along with the addition of trumpets (in addition to the traditional trombones found in los VAN VAN), changes the color of the orchestra, and one suddenly starts to dream that musical Nirvana is not so far away...
