« Pianist Célimène Daudet has imagined a possible lineage between two major composers, Debussy and Dutilleux, whose Préludes she places in mirror. » Composed about ten years apart, the preludes of the young Messiaen and Debussy, an already established artist at the time, present striking similarities in style, which are reflected even in the poetry and mystique of their titles. For her first album with NoMadMusic, Célimène Daudet enjoyed creating an imaginary lineage between the two composers, juxtaposing their works to better highlight their kinship.
