Description

This album, with its variety of colors and unique expression, contains works that are distant in their atmospheres, yet all marked by a universality of thought, bringing together Russian, Indian, and French poets, as well as popular and classical music. The trio repertoire with vocals is not well represented on the record. However, like the trio repertoire for violin, cello, and piano, it is rich in exciting works. The "Franco-Russian" selection presented here offers a significant and surprising glimpse into this repertoire.
