At a time when the boundaries between hip-hop, IDM, EDM, and bass music dissolve into a musical magma from which new trends constantly emerge, Cape Town Effects presents its vision of tomorrow's sound, a true concentrate of hip-hop, dub, electronica, dubstep, trap, and even pop influences. An original soundtrack on which the flagship MC of Cape Town, who has nothing to envy its European or U.S. counterparts, delivers uncompromising lyrics, a series of sharp observations with local or global resonance; and expresses itself in three different languages: Afrikaans, the language of the former colonists, Xhosa, the country's dialect, and English, all three used in South Africa. The collective, bringing together beatmakers, musicians, and MCs, is preparing an album and a live show that you can find on stages in France and Europe starting summer 2013.
