Renowned Dutch saxophonist and daughter of Hans Dulfer, Candy needs no introduction. Self-taught, she started music at age six and made her first recordings as early as 1981, at age eleven. In 1990, she released her hit album « Saxuality » (sold over a million copies worldwide), for which she was nominated for a Grammy Award, followed in 1993 by « Sax-a-Go-Go ». This new album follows « Big Girl » and continues her exploration of funk, R&B and dance sounds. But make no mistake: Candy's playing is still as intense, raw and direct, offering a striking contrast. As on « Big Girl », we find renowned Dutch singers Trijntje Oosterhuis and Berget Lewis. The album includes the songs « Saxy Mood » and « Smooth » and reached number 8 on Billboard's Top Contemporary Jazz Albums chart for 1998.
