After starting as a duo and then releasing a critically acclaimed first solo album, Cannibale (2018), Calypso Valois toured all over France, worked on various creative projects, including in cinema and as a DJ for several years. She had just immersed herself in what would become her second album when the pandemic interrupted her. Baroque melodies, intricate lyrics, elegant production. The latter is handled by Yan Wagner, who had already worked on Cannibale. The intuition was spot on: he brings out the full scope of the 10 tracks on APOCALYPSO.
