Quintettes avec piano Bagatelles
Description
After two recordings dedicated to the Dumky Trio and Dvořák's Third Trio, then to the Piano Quartets No. 1 & 2, Omri Epstein, Mathieu van Bellen, and Ori Epstein are joined by one of their mentors at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth, the violist Miguel da Silva, founder of the famous Ysaÿe Quartet, and by the violinist Maria Milstein, who was also an artist in residence at the Chapelle Musicale from 2011 to 2014. Together, they continue this complete collection of chamber music for keyboard by the Czech composer, featuring the two Piano Quintets and the Bagatelles: an evident camaraderie binds the musicians, who share with us their passion for this repertoire as well as their joy of playing together. Fifteen years separate the two piano quintets by Dvořák, which share little in common apart from the same key: the first marks the beginnings of a young composer, while the second reflects the mastery of his art. As for the Bagatelles, originally written for two violins, cello, and harmonium, they are among the composer's most well-known pieces. A recording set to be released in the second half of the year will complete this quadriptych of trios, quartets, and piano quintets by the Czech composer.Buy Quintettes avec piano Bagatelles at the best price
