Buck And Jo

Description

"There has never been, in the entire history of jazz, a team comparable to that formed by Milt Buckner and Jo Jones. Never has music so rich, so complete, been produced by just two musicians." Hugues Panassié, 1971 This box set brings together the complete recording sessions "Buck & Jo" produced by Louis and Hugues Panassié between 1971 and 1974. The immense drummer Jo Jones reunites with Milt Buckner, who is also a legend in the history of jazz and played a significant role in popularizing the Hammond organ since the 1950s. The chemistry between the two musicians is felt from the very first note. This 4 CD set, compiled and restored by Laurent Verdeaux, delivers beautiful and intense moments of swing.
