The previous studio albums by the Belgian group Brutus - "Burst" and "Nest" - have seen the trio gain wide admiration thanks to their fiery and emotionally charged blend of hardcore, metal, post-rock, and shoegaze. Acclaimed by critics across Europe and the United States, the band has performed with Deftones, Chelsea Wolfe, Thrice, and Russian Circles, and has garnered praise from musicians such as Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro), Ben Koller (Converge), and Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan).
The singer (and drummer) Stefanie Mannaerts stated: “I wanted every song to feel like it was our last… It killed me inside because it’s an almost impossible standard to reach, but it was my personal goal for this album. It was a two-year quest to try to do better.” An ambitious and inspired album, composed of tracks that have gained in stature.
