Open-minded and curious, fascinated by other cultures, Ondrej Adámek assimilates all the aesthetics he encounters. His works reveal all these influences, marked by a very specific sound color that, combined with a powerful rhythm and a solid formal architecture, creates very personal music not devoid of drama. Ondrej Adámek seeks specific playing techniques for classical instruments and creates new original instruments. The Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain, under the baton of Daniel Kawka, presents an eclectic panorama of his music, from the ritualized, even mechanized, twists of a lullaby to the disconcerting mechanics of his unusual and invented musical machines, which the composer does not hesitate to bring to the forefront of the orchestra.
