Orange Mountain Music is proud to present the world premiere of Philip Glass's String Quartets Nos. 6 and 7 by the renowned Brooklyn Rider String Quartet. Glass composed five quartets between 1966 and 1991.Then no other quartet for 2 decades.
This album opens with the 1995 saxophone quartet arranged for strings by Brooklyn Rider (for violin, cello, and 2 violas) which has become over time a staple of the saxophone repertoire.
