Yellowstone is an American neo-Western drama television series. The series stars Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly and follows the conflicts along the shared borders of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, a large cattle ranch, the Broken Rock Indian Reservation, Yellowstone National Park and land developers. The first part of the fifth and final season premiered on November 13, 2022, and the second part is scheduled to air on November 10, 2024. Composer Brian Tyler, who has previously worked and played in a Native American music group, said he worked hard to blend his knowledge of traditional Native American music with the melting pot of Western cultures in his score. "What I ended up doing was finding ways to incorporate percussion, woodwinds, instruments and integrate them into cellos, basses, cimbaloms and all these exotic instruments," Tyler said.
