Description

Hommage to contemporary composers of the 20th & 21st centuries by the Borusan Quartet. The Borusan Quartet is a Turkish ensemble with an international career that records a lot of contemporary repertoire. The title of this new album with Onyx, Company is inspired by the name given to the 2nd quartet of Philip Glass. From the spiritual minimalism of Arvo Pärt to the very extroverted 4th quartet of the Latvian composer Peteris Vasks, passing through Philipp Glass and the Anatolian compatriot of the quartet, the Turkish composer Hasan Usarçu, the Borusan quartet presents itself as an avant-garde formation in the interpretation of contemporary works.
