LOST HIGHWAY/VINYLE NOIR AUDIOPHILE 180GR/POCHETTE GATEFOLD
Description
Contemporary film noir tinged with horror and mystery, Lost Highway is the cult film written and directed by David Lynch in 1997. Bill Pullman plays a jazz saxophonist arrested for the murder of his wife – Patricia Arquette – who inexplicably transforms into a young mechanic and starts a new life. With his very particular style, on the edge of experimental film, David Lynch explores the theme of dissociative identity disorder. Renowned for the meticulous sound design of his films, David Lynch is credited as the sound technician for this film. An accomplished musician, he also contributed to the musical composition, even though the credits do not mention him. The main score was composed by Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks) with additional music by Barry Adamson (member of Magazine and Nick Cave's Bad Seeds), however, it is Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails who assembled the soundtrack. The latter features some of the biggest names in rock with David Bowie, the Smashing Pumpkins, Rammstein, Lou Reed, and Marilyn Manson who also plays a small role alongside Twiggy Ramirez and Henry Rollins.
